What we believe
There’s something pretty unique about Pathway Church. You wouldn’t necessarily notice it on your first visit.
Pathway isn’t very homogeneous. We’re far from an affinity group. It’s a bit hard to draw a circle around us.
What we believe
W
e come from many different faith traditions. We don’t all share the same political views. Our socioeconomic spectrum is rather wide. And where we’ve been and what we’ve done is pretty much all over the map.
Nevertheless, we share an amazing unity. We live in peace. And it has everything to do with “who” we gather to (not “what” we gather for): Jesus Christ.
As such, we’ve found it best to define our corporate beliefs utilizing the first and simplest and most universal of creeds — the Apostles Creed.
The Apostle’s Creed
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
